Identifying and verifying misinformation (false but unintentional) and disinformation (deliberately misleading) requires a combination of tools, techniques, and best practices.
In collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, the Media Development Foundation presents Misinformation and Disinformation: A Handbook for Journalists. This handbook provides key insights from U.S. and Indian fact-checking experts, along with discussions from senior journalists, news ombudsmen, and working journalists. It is based on a series of workshops conducted across South India in Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil between July and September 2019.
A must-read for journalists committed to truth and accuracy!
